Wednesday, February 20, 2019 - Travel Day

Wednesday I flew out of Portland to San Diego for a business/pleasure trip. It was rainy and cool in Portland  when I left AND San Diego when I arrived.

Needed to make sure to be able to find where the car was parked on my return to town.

Bet U of O fans would like to ride in this plane!
View of Hotel Entry from Broadway.
Hotel Entrance from 5th Avenue.

The hotel that Mitsubishi put us up in was beautiful - the building was converted from a bank and as the sign in the foreground indicates, is on the National Register of Historic Places.

Nice room.

Interesting view.

Meeting room in basement - they had incorporated the old bank vault doors into the construction although they were not used for entry any more.

Another view of one of the vintage bank vault doors.

Name of former bank above doorway to this area.

Amazing lobby ceiling in former bank lobby.

Another view of the lobby.

Wednesday night I met up with the group hosted by Mitsubishi and they took us to dinner at House of Blues.

Musician for the evening - played guitar and harmonica as well as sang. We were on the far side of the  room but liked what I heard.

Our hosts: Larry Loop on the left and Jarred Osborne on the right with hand up.
